Central Office Administrator's RoleExperience and Education: If the central office position is directly related to instruction (curriculum or educational services) the standards will be as stringent as they are for building principals and superintendents (master’s degree (or more), classroom experience, and administrative experience). If the central office position relates to finance, transportation or food service, a high level of education and experience in that area is required and previous experience in a district environment is highly desirable. Typical Responsibilities: The roles of central office administrators are so different that it’s impossible to compile a list of similar responsibilities. For those interested in central office administration, the best option would be to speak with an actual professional and ask for a copy of his or her job description. |
