Members elect Jennifer Schutte of Postville as incoming SAI vice president![]() April 19, 2023 Jennifer Schutte, principal of Postville Elementary in the Postville Community School District, has been elected as the 2023-24 vice president of School Administrators of Iowa. Responsibilities of the association’s Executive Committee officers include actively promoting and delivering on SAI’s mission of developing Iowa’s educational leaders and learners. Schutte and other elected SAI governance members will begin their terms September 1. “Congratulations to Jennifer Schutte for being selected by her peers to be SAI’s next vice president. Her experience and passion for educating each student will be a tremendous asset to SAI and all Iowa administrators. I look forward to working with Jennifer in her new role,” said SAI Executive Director Lisa Remy. “I am excited for the opportunity to collaborate with my fellow administrators and members of SAI in improving education for our students in Iowa,” Schutte expressed. Schutte was a member of the association’s Professional Learning Committee in 2021-22, and currently serves on the Upper Iowa University School of Education Advisory Board. Elementary principal at Postville since 2019, she previously held the role of curriculum director and dean of students in the district. Her career in education began as an elementary teacher at Dallas Center-Grimes Community School District. Schutte earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a Spanish minor from Coe College, and a master’s in educational leadership from the University of Northern Iowa.
