Event Details

Separate from the Mentoring Program, this one-day event is available to administrators who are beginning their first year in their position, whether brand new or transitioning to a different role. 

Intended Outcomes:  Through participation in this institute, you will…

  1. Cultivate a professional learning network;

  2. Set the stage for effective teacher evaluations;

  3. Connect with AEA services and supports;

  4. Gain insight from those who have just completed their first year in the role;

  5. Ensure your licensure and your leadership practice are in alignment with the BoEE rules and regulations and the law;

  6. Explore strategies to establish a positive learning culture; and

  7. Consider a proactive approach to student behavior;

  8. Explore key legal considerations impacting the start of the year; and

  9. Connect with School Administrators of Iowa resources and supports. 

Attire: Business Casual

Registration fee: $125. All participants are required to register.  If you're not an SAI member, please create a Non-Member account to register
