Unlock the power of brain-based discipline with Dr. Lori Desautels, a leading expert in understanding how adversity and trauma shape student behavior. This transformative workshop delves into how our nervous systems are impacted by experiences of stress, connection, and resiliency, reshaping our approach to discipline in schools. Dr. Desautels will guide us to see behaviors not as challenges to control but as indicators of underlying survival states in the brain and body.

Learn proactive strategies that go beyond traditional discipline, incorporating routines, transitions, and sensory-based practices that support students in regulating themselves. Together, we'll explore the difference between co-regulation—a compassionate, neuroscience-backed approach—and coercive methods that fall short of fostering real growth. Join us to build a foundation for discipline that enhances social, emotional, and physiological health for both students and staff, transforming challenging moments into opportunities for connection and resilience.
