Unlock the most critical partnership in your district.
In the fast-paced world of school district leadership, the relationship between a superintendent and their executive assistant is more than just administrative—it is the strategic engine that drives the district’s mission. When this duo operates in perfect sync, the district gains a powerful multiplier effect; when they are misaligned, the "cockpit" of the organization falters.
This intensive half-day workshop is designed to transform the traditional "boss and assistant" dynamic into a high-functioning strategic partnership. Attendees will move beyond basic scheduling to master the art of shared leadership, unified voice, and proactive crisis management.
What You Will Learn
This isn't just a lecture; it's a working session for pairs to align their systems and expectations. Through interactive exercises and real-world scenarios, you will:
-
Build a Unified Voice: Learn the techniques of "voice-twinning" to ensure all communications—from community emails to board memos—reflect a consistent executive presence.
-
Master Strategic Gatekeeping & Synchronize in Crisis: Develop a shared "Triage Rubric" to protect the superintendent’s time while maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders. Establish a "Red Folder" protocol to ensure rapid, accurate, and calm communication during district emergencies.
-
- Learn the five key elements and how to effectively utilize multiple channels (phone, email, text, social media, website).
-
The E-Newsletter as a Strategic Tool: For a superintendent, a high-quality e-newsletter isn't just "news"—it’s narrative control. It allows the "Duo" to move from reactive troubleshooting to proactive storytelling.
Don't just manage the district—lead it with a unified front. Join us to transform your administrative routine into a strategic powerhouse that protects your time, amplifies your message, and strengthens your community’s trust.
Registration fee: $75 for Superintendent (SAI members) or $115 for Superintendent non-members. The District Executive Assistant may register for free. All participants are required to register.
Cancellation/refund policy: Registrants are responsible for full payment unless cancellation is received at least three business days in advance of the event. Email SAI or call 515-267-1115 to let us know if you're unable to attend.
